Rochus van Tuijl has been a key figure at Linflowers for over 30 years, where he started at the age of 17 alongside his oldest brother. His entrance into our family business was not self-evident; after technical training, he chose a career as a gardener, contrary to his own expectation. Rochus focuses primarily on management and business aspects, while his brother David handles cultivation. Their complementary partnership, based on mutual trust, is critical to the success of Linflowers.

During his research into the van Tuijl family, he discovered the family crest, which now adorns the company logo as a symbol of heritage. Rochus has been happily married since 1996 and is a proud father of 15 children. He looks forward to passing the torch to his sons while working towards a sustainable future for Linflowers.

David van Tuijl has been an essential part of Linflowers for over 30 years. His journey began at the age of 18 alongside his brother Rochus. He cherished the dream of becoming a grower from an early age, which led to his natural acquisition of Linflowers. David’s work is about growing plants, perfecting every detail. The entrepreneurship and competitive nature of the sector also appeals to him, and he strives for the best and constant growth.

David takes immense pride in the family business and eagerly anticipates future opportunities for growth and innovation.

Leendert van Tuijl, the oldest son of Rochus van Tuijl, has been a vital force at Linflowers for 9 years. After completing pre-university education, he immediately started in the family business and attended various agricultural courses to strengthen his role. From a production employee, he progressed to become the supervisor of a new site, proving his adaptability and customer focus by even learning new languages. Leendert’s focus is on continuous optimisation and innovation within Linflowers, while also pursuing his love for classical music and family life outside of work.

Barteld van Tuijl left high school at the age of 15 to attend practical training in horticulture. He started as a production employee at Linflowers, but his ambition led him to become increasingly involved in sales at the age of 17. At the age of 18, he took over this task completely from his cousin Leendert.

Although he may not share the same “green fingers” as his father David, Barteld excels in strategy and market development, driven by a passion for sales inherited from his mother’s side of the family, which drives him to explore new markets and strengthen Linflowers as a brand.

As an early bird, Barteld starts his day at 5 am, so everything is ready for the start of the day. “I enjoy the challenge and the contact with our customers.”
